EuroBasket 2011: so far, so good

EuroBasket 2011 continues successfully for Lithuanian team. I believe Lithuanian team is getting better every day. We will beat French team today!

You can feel that there is a festival in Lithuania these days! People are crazy about basketball in Lithuania!

I live not far away from the hotel Le Meridien Vilnius where all teams (except Lithuanian) are staying. So I can hear police sirens when they escort teams from and to hotel at least 20 times a day. It’s really annoying cause it wakes me up in the morning  (I love to sleep till late…).

Hotel Le Meridien Vilnius is very nice, many years ago I had my school graduation party there. But I am not sure if all guests will be happy about the hotel, because it is outside the city, in the middle of nowhere, near the highway. But the nature is very beautiful, hotel is surrounded by woods and there is a lake near it.

I know that not everyone is happy about EuroBasket  in Lithuania. It was expected that crowds of foreigners with their wallets wide open would come to Lithuania. This did not happen so far… So the owners of restaurants, bars and hotels are disappointed. But the event is not over yet!

Hello.

Yes I have been looking @ the attendances and thy have been very poor!! some games just under 1000 people. seams only the Games Involving Lithuania are selling out.

Is the problem expensive tickets?
I'm curious to know.

Lithuanians are interested mainly in games involving Lithuanian team. They don't feel its worth to pay so much for other games...
